About This Service

The OneIT Planning and Project Management Office (PPMO) Business Analysis team is dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency across UNC Charlotte, focusing on process improvement. Our skilled business analysts conduct comprehensive cross-divisional process assessments and provide actionable improvement recommendations. We aim to streamline workflows, reduce redundancies, improve service delivery, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

We are excited to announce the launch of this new service as part of a two-year pilot program. This initiative will allow us to build and refine processes and procedures collaboratively. Throughout this period, leaders from participating divisions will play a vital role in identifying and prioritizing essential process improvements.

What We Do

Process Assessment

Our business analysts will thoroughly evaluate current processes, focusing on workflow, resource allocation, and technology usage.

Improvement Recommendations

Based on the assessment, we provide detailed recommendations that can include process redesign, automation opportunities, and best practices for implementation.

Collaboration

We work closely with stakeholders from various divisions to ensure that the proposed solutions align with each area’s unique needs and goals.

  1. Identify Opportunities
    • Assess current processes for inefficiencies.
    • Gather feedback from stakeholders to pinpoint issues.

    • Develop and evaluate potential solutions and improvements.
  3. Review and Optimize
    • Evaluate the impact of changes on process performance and outcomes.
    • Adjust and refine the process based on feedback and performance metrics.

    • Execute the chosen improvements.
    • Monitor the implementation to address any issues promptly.

Pilot Summary

During the pilot, we will collaborate with participating divisions as we develop our tools, processes, and methodologies. Our focus will be two-fold. We aim to improve workflows and processes for our university partners while refining our working processes through lessons learned and continuous feedback. 

We will be announcing our pilot participants soon. This pilot program will help us tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of each division and ensure the effectiveness of our process improvement initiatives across the University.

Eligibility

The service is available to all divisions participating in the two-year pilot program. If you don’t see your division listed, please contact us at OneIT-PPMO-Group@charlotte.edu to express interest in this service.

How to Request

If you need a business process improvement analysis, please contact your Division representative (list coming soon) and provide relevant information for their review. They will evaluate and prioritize the request based on impact, resource availability, and alignment with strategic goals.
